The Intel Xeon L5630 CPU has 4 cores, 8 threads, 12MB of Smart Cache and a clock speed of 2.13Ghz with a Max Turbo Frequency of up to 2.4Ghz. This CPU also includes some of Intel’s newest technology such as:
Virtualization
Hyper-Threading
Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology, still under “Launched” status with Intel.
Dell PowerEdge equals quality builds
Hosting And Designs L.L.C. believes in offering high-quality components and hardware in their server configurations. They do not use just regular desktop computer grade hardware. This is why they have again, chosen to purchase Dell brand dedicated servers. Since according to their experience with Dell, they have proven to be very reliable and well assembled.
These servers also come equipped with an IPMI port for “out of band” access when the server may become inaccessible via regular remote connections and administrative procedures. This feature can simply be set up per request via a dedicated Cisco switch for IPMI connections. They are kept separate from regular data center traffic for security and to lower any possible congestion from regular server traffic during administrative tasks.
These servers have proven to run without issues on CentOS 6.x and Windows 2012/20016. They also work very well in a virtualized environment with OpenVZ and SolusVM. We have not tested other Operating Systems as of this press release.
These new Intel Xeon L5630 2.13Ghz Quad Core dedicated servers are now available for lease starting at $89.00 per month at the time of this press release available here: http://www.hostinganddesigns.com/dedicated-servers/
